Bluestone Coffee Roasting Company Information

Tucked along the charming stretch of Partition Street in Saugerties, Bluestone Coffee Roasting Company feels like the kind of place locals quietly treasure and visitors wish they had discovered sooner. The location itself is inviting, surrounded by small-town character, and once you step inside, the warm, slightly rustic atmosphere makes it easy to settle in for a while. There’s a subtle hum of conversation, the rich aroma of freshly roasted beans, and a relaxed energy that makes it clear this isn’t just a quick stop for caffeine-it’s a place people genuinely enjoy spending time.

The menu leans heavily into quality over excess, with a thoughtful selection of coffee drinks that highlight their in-house roasting expertise. Whether it’s a smooth latte with perfectly textured milk or a bold pour-over that brings out nuanced flavors, the attention to detail is obvious. On one visit, the barista recommended a single-origin brew, explaining its tasting notes with the kind of knowledge you’d expect from someone truly passionate about coffee, and the result lived up to the description-bright, slightly citrusy, and incredibly clean. It’s the kind of experience that elevates a simple cup into something memorable.

Beyond the coffee, the food offerings are simple but well-executed. The pastries, often sourced locally, pair beautifully with the drinks, and there’s a freshness that suggests they’re chosen with care rather than convenience. A flaky croissant alongside a cappuccino felt like a small luxury, especially when enjoyed at one of the cozy tables by the window. While the menu isn’t extensive, it doesn’t need to be; everything available feels intentional and well-curated.

Service here strikes a nice balance between friendly and unintrusive. Staff are approachable and happy to chat about the menu or make recommendations, but they also give you space to relax. Reviews from other visitors often mention this welcoming vibe, and it’s easy to see why-it feels genuine rather than rehearsed.

What really stands out is how well Bluestone Coffee Roasting Company fits into the local rhythm. It’s not trying to be trendy or overly polished; instead, it embraces a comfortable authenticity that resonates with both regulars and newcomers. If there’s any limitation, it’s that seating can fill up quickly during peak hours, which speaks more to its popularity than any shortcoming.

What People's Say About Place

Very nice and cozy dog friendly coffee shop, which has a ton of character with very warm and welcoming staff. We were in the area for a glamping trip staying at Autocamp(AC). We decided to have breakfast outside AC , this was an excellent choice . They roast their own coffee and flavors are very bright and good . We ordered iced and hot lattes both were very good . They had options for people who may not want dairy (we took Almond milk) . Breakfast was in competition with the coffee Tried their Veggie omelette , butter croissant , and bacon egg and cheese panini , all of them were excellent, omelette comes with breakfast potato’s very nice and crunchy toast and omelette has a generous veggie fill which I like . We will go there one more time before we get back home. If you are in this nice village of Saugerties NY or driving by , Bluestone coffee is great stop. They have indoor and outdoor seating , dogs are welcome ours had good time meeting with other dogs and lovely humans local and visiting.

Coffee is delicious but when there’s only one barista working the line can get 4-5 people deep and take a while for specialty drinks. I love that they offer to go cups or real mugs if you’re drinking in house. It’s a very chill place for co-working or grabbing a coffee while walking on main street.

Food is super fresh & tasty for a Coffee House Easy atmosphere and coffee is great. I love the ground coffee to buy for at home. Lots of exotic flavors from other countries although it’s $16 a bag it is well worth it Service is great A cool place to hang out esp outside in the back in the Spring & Summer.

Cute little coffee shop off of the Main Street. As a prior reviewer mentioned, there is one staff member working (owner maybe?) but does her best to get things done in a timely manner. Hey, I came for a great cup of coffee-grinding, brewing, or all takes time. I’d rather wait a little and have an amazing cup of coffee-over a quick serve watered down cup. If you want fast service go to a McDonald’s. If you want a locally roasted delicious coffee, come to Bluestone. Because I was having the coffee inside, I was offered a coffee mug and told To help myself-free refills! Amazing! The bluestone brew is so good I purchased a bag of beans to take home and ground to post to a friend. The last ground the beans for me to the desired fine. When ordering I mentioned I was a little hungry but not enough for their plates offered and I wasn’t in the mood for anything sweet (though all their baked goods looked delicious), the lady offered to do avocado toast. The delicious avocado toast and unlimited refills of coffee was $7, that’s right, $7! I was in heaven. I enjoyed three cups of coffee. I left to do some shopping and before leaving the area went back and ordered an iced coffee for the road. Definitely will be back again-DELICIOUS coffee.

The interior design is cute and the staff is helpful but ignorant (I had a pour over coffee and they didn't know the difference between various coffee beans they had - and they have plenty). But to give them credit, they brewed the coffee very nice (they were careful about coffee/water ratio as they were weighing both, which was surprising to see in a small town) and the coffee tasted very nice. They have non-coffee beverages and pastries as well but I didn't try any of them. Overall very cute small town coffee shop with plenty of nice decorations and spacious interior design that can also do well enough in a bigger city. I'm not sure how strict they are about the closing time of 4PM, because I got my drink at about 4PM and there were other people waiting in line to get their orders when I left.

Enjoyed a nice latte and espresso. Espresso could have been pulled a little slower, but you could tell the roast was great!

Coffee was bitter and weak for an iced mocha. They have coffee, frappes, juice and teas. The vibe was perfect for a coffee shop. The location is great! It's in a nice area of Saugerties with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

My daughter loved the BLT that was safe for her food allergies! My husband loved that they had two pour over options for coffee! We appreciated their help with allergy awareness and modifications. Staff was very friendly and helpful and my kids enjoyed running around on the patio to get energy out before the food came
